I have been home for not quite a week from Destination Dallas 2018 and all my orders have shipped out as of today. It was a great success! I learned so much, met so many kind, gracious, creative people, and caught a bad cold. Isn't that a sign that I worked hard?!?
My husband bought me "Business Boutique" by Christy Wright upon my return. Apparently Dave Ramsey has been talking about it a lot and Mr. Moore thought I might find some useful tips in it. The author dedicates almost a full chapter to fear and overcoming it when putting your business idea out there. I could relate so much to all she had to say because there were so many times I came close to throwing my hands up in the air simply out of fear. She lists five self talk sentences that we say to ourselves "that rationalize it's just not worth the risk of being let down". All five of them I had said to myself in the last month. However, I forced myself to buckle down and push through, decided that nothing ventured, nothing gained, and saw it through to the very end. And boy am I glad I did. Thank you to all that supported me in Dallas. Whether you purchased something, gave me guidance, asked me to dinner, or simply gave me some confidence in my designs, I thank you.
